Starting and running a blog can be overwhelming.
For me these are the tools and resources that I have tried and tested to make my blogging life easier so that I can spend more time eating cakes.
I have some priorities.
“I update this page regularly to make sure it is up to date with my best resources. I have used these products for an extended period of time and know the immense value they provide to me and so I recommend them to you. In no way do I recommend them to you only because I would make an affiliate commission from them (I mean it). BLOGGING AND BUSINESS
I switched over to SiteGround when I started this blog because I was unhappy with my old host.
If you are looking to start a blog then I highly recommend them, they even offer you free assistance in setting up your new site or transferring your existing WordPress site.
Divi by Elegant themes is a good theme for beginner bloggers who would love a greater control on their blog design and have no experience in coding.
ConvertKit is a really great option if you are looking to grow your email list with email and automation sequences.
It is geared towards bloggers allowing you to segment your list on the basis of your readers needs and requirements and produce highly specific and customized content for them.
If you want to give it a go you can also request a demo of ConvertKit here.
I use Pinterest to drive traffic to my blog and well, Pinterest requires you to stay active on the site all the time.
While I do strive to stay active on Pinterest by manually pinning whenever possible, it’s just not feasible to stay active everyday.
I use Tailwind to schedule my Pins in bulk, this way even when I am not active on Pinterest, Tailwind makes sure that I keep pinning to my boards.
I constantly kept switching between plugins until I finally settled down for Social Warfare.
This plugin is lightweight and yet comes with a good set of useful features such as adding a Pinterest specific image, customizability, saving your share count when you switch over from http to https etc.
I use HauteStock for most of my images.
Sometimes a good quality image really helps the elevate the look and feel of your blog even if you are not that good at graphic design.
I like that the photos here are beautiful, clean and standout on Pinterest.
The image and graphics here really make my blog and social media images standout.
